After 13 years of business growth providing insightful executive coaching and leadership development services, executive coaching firm Arden Coaching has refreshed its brand. Arden is also updating its website.
The skills executives need to be great leaders, and the behaviors and habits of effective, high performance teams are always evolving. To remain at the forefront of leadership development and effectively meet the needs of executives and organizations nationally, Arden Coaching has evolved as well, delivering a range of robust, results-based coaching services. The new logo reflects that transformation.
“When the original logo was created, I think I was using a Blackberry!” said Maren Perry, founder and president of Arden Coaching. The new logo conveys a contemporary feel and continues to highlight the Arden tree. “Not only do I love the beauty and growth of trees,” says Perry, “But ‘Arden’ refers to the Forest of Arden, from Shakespeare’s As You Like It. That has a lot of wonderful meaning for me, in part, because in As You Like It, those who enter the Forest are transformed. Characters learn something about themselves and each other, and evolve. At the end of the play every character is different in important ways. That sense of positive change and transformation captures who we are as a coaching firm, what we do, and how we do it.”
The image of a tunneling forest echoes the job of an executive coach — to reflect with greater perspective than clients can see for themselves. “A forest is also a place through which one chooses their own path,” notes Perry. “People come upon obstacles such as rocks, rivers, ravines, and animals, and forge a way through.” For Perry, the new logo captures the rootedness in the trunk — which is a bit messy and knobby; it has a history, just as we all have a history. At the same time, there is a striving for something new in the multi-faceted canopy of the tree, which also symbolizes the numerous and diverse skills an effective leader needs to develop.
Arden Coaching’s website has also undergone a major redesign. In addition to updating the look and feel to represent the contemporary needs of executives and leaders, the website has been updated to make it easier for people to navigate, find the information they need, and use the website on their laptops, pads, and smartphones.
Arden Coaching offers a range of effective executive coaching services, training and skills development for high performance teams, offsite facilitation for organizational meetings, and a hybrid service called the Arden Leadership Academy which features a unique combination of group training and one-on-one coaching. Perry emphasized that “It’s critical for people to be able to easily learn about our services, get the information they need, and connect with us.”
Both the rebrand and the redesign of the website was led by San Francisco bay area-based design firm, Smallnormous
