As the former owner and CEO of a privately held company, Laura is a skilled facilitator of groups and individuals engaged in being more effective, creative and innovative in the workplace. As a CEO, she had a reputation for building exceptional, supportive, high-performing, organizational cultures and for being a strategic and systemic thinker.
Laura’s coaching approach seeks to enhance the self-awareness and capacities of leaders to innovate and transform themselves and their organizations. She guides leaders in assessing and developing the leadership competencies, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence needed to more effectively lead their teams and organizations by building on their strengths and focusing on their development needs. She has the ability to help leaders understand underlying issues and develop the key strengths needed to create meaningful behavioral change and impact strategic results in their organizations. She quickly creates a trusting environment where leaders feel safe to engage in the work of taking risks in order to grow and make long-term changes. Laura has coached leaders from middle management to C-suite executive in mid-size businesses up to Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries including: technology, aerospace, healthcare, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, media, manufacturing, financial services, retail and legal services.
Laura received her coaching training at The Coaches Training Institute and is accredited by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from San Diego State University and a BA degree in International Relations from Georgetown University. Post graduate studies include over two decades of meditation and Mindfulness training. Laura is a certified trainer of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
Laura lives with her husband on the cliffs in Southern California overlooking the Pacific Ocean. When she’s not coaching, she’s either in her studio making art, at her computer writing a memoir, in nature hiking, in the kitchen cooking, reading, or travelling around the world. She also leads international retreat events for women leaders using creativity and the creative process for renewal, inspiration, and developing intuition and innovation.
